Take care of yourself so you can help others.

The last few years have put a strain on all of us in the helping professions. Our nervous systems have been taxed like never before as we have had to help our clients with their stress while going through it ourselves. We are offering a Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) group for helping professionals. This is an opportunity for you to give your nervous system a boost in a safe, supportive and enjoyable way.

We all know, as helping professionals, that we offer our best care when we are grounded, calm and connected to ourselves first.

What is the Safe and Sound Protocol?

The Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) is a listening program especially filtered music that stimulates the vagus nerve through the middle ear muscle. It is based on Stephen Porges’ Polyvagal Theory and 40 years of research regarding the relationship between the autonomic nervous system and auditory sensitivities, and the social-emotional processes.

Stress, trauma, and other conditions can overload our nervous system, leaving us in various states of fight/flight/freeze, which can impact how we interact with others, our environment and how we feel inside and about ourselves. The SSP is like a workout for your vagus nerve, giving your nervous system more flexibility and resilience.
